Alan joined our Leadership team as Chief Financial Officer in 2024. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Alan graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a degree in Accounting & Finance, before completing his Chartered Accountancy training in the audit department of KPMG. He became a member of ICAS (Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland) before leaving practice for his first accountancy role in industry.
An accomplished finance director and chief financial officer with over 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles, Alan is a strong people manager, capable of developing high-performing individuals and teams. He is broadly experienced, with a proven track record in all aspects of financial leadership.
He held various finance roles at Aggreko. During his 15-year tenure, Alan worked in Head Office finance function positions, including time spent in the United Arab Emirates working as the Financial Controller for the Middle East business. He was then Head of Finance for the Northern European business unit, where he was a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
When approached by RoukenBio to join the team, Alan felt that his experience and career goals were more aligned with a future in the world of Biotechnology than Recruitment!
